Despite the name, CodeCraft is more than a consulting
company. We have developed our own commercial products in the past, and actively
continue to develop new products.
Snort: The Open Source Network
Intrusion Detection System
"Snort
is a lightweight network intrusion detection system, capable of performing
real-time traffic analysis and packet logging on IP networks. It can
perform protocol analysis, content searching/matching and can be used to
detect a variety of attacks and probes, such as buffer overflows, stealth
port scans, CGI attacks, SMB probes, OS fingerprinting attempts, and much more.
"Snort uses a flexible rules language to describe traffic that it should collect
or pass, as well as a detection engine that utilizes a modular plugin
architecture. Snort has a real-time alerting capability as well, incorporating
alerting mechanisms for syslog, a user specified file, a UNIX socket, or
WinPopup messages to Windows clients using Samba's smbclient.
"Snort has three primary uses. It can be used as a straight packet sniffer
like tcpdump(1), a packet logger (useful for network traffic debugging, etc),
or as a full blown network intrusion detection system."

PoolManager
is a web service that provides for the
automated management of NHL hockey pools, greatly reducing
the time and complexity necessary to run a private office
hockey pool. PoolManager achieves this by automating the
entire process.
PoolManager provides facilities for creating private, customized
hockey pools, collecting NHL statistics, processing those statistics
according to the individual preferences and rules of each pool
operator (manager), as well as distributing the processed statistics
through online web-based reports and automated e-mail reports.
PoolManager differs from its competitors in three noticeable
areas. First, subscribers are able to run their own private
pool with friends, family or colleagues, as opposed to
participating in an open forum with thousands of strangers.
Second, PoolManager is capable of sending out e-mail reports
containing the current pool standings and other pool-specific
information. And finally, user satisfaction and enjoyment is
maximized through high-touch, quick response feedback and
support mechanisms.
